As a specialist GP, Dr Alison Richards is dedicated to the care of babies, children and adolescents, and is an expert in supporting children and their families to thrive.
She is a strong patient advocate and works collaboratively with the Paediatric People team and allied health clinicians to offer every child the best opportunities. Dr Alison has a special interest in children and young people with eating disorders, young athletes, and neurodiversity.
Dr Alison graduated from the Royal Free Hospital London in 2000 with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. She is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners with postgraduate qualifications in child heath and has dedicated her career to supporting children in the vital first years of life.
She has extensive experience supporting children and adolescents with developmental and behavioural concerns and is a wonderful support to their families.
She provides holistic care and treats a child’s physical, emotional and social wellbeing by listening, asking and checking.
Dr Alison can also be found ferrying her children to and from sports or enjoying reading and cooking at home.
