Ellen Rugara

Ellen Rugara, RN, is a highly experienced nurse with more than 20 years of clinical experience working with children and families. She has a remarkable capacity to connect with kids and their parents. Ellen plays a key role at Paediatric People through her clinical work and her contribution to clinic processes, team culture, and healthcare improvement.

You might meet Ellen in your first visit to Paediatric People when she has an intake appointment with you, or when your child needs extra support during their appointment with one of our doctors, or when you need advice on navigating supports for your family.

Ellen started her career in some of the most prestigious Emergency Departments in Victoria and then moved to community nursing for refugee and asylum seekers patients in the south east of Melbourne. Here, she honed her expertise in communication and advocacy.

She now provides expert nursing care for children, adolescents and their families at Paediatric People. As a mother of three she understands children all children are different and strives to make each patient happy and comfortable during their visits.
