The Paediatric People team will carefully review your information.
-
A clinician looks at your child’s situation and works out the right first step. We will contact you to book an appointment.
-
At your first visit to Paediatric People, your child will typically see one of our specialist GPs. You are meeting a professional at this point who will be integrally involved in understanding your child and supporting them to thrive.
Your first appointment is a key step in exploring your child’s development and health. We will take time to understand your child and your family. We will discuss your goals. We will organise investigations, assessments and provide treatment recommendations, where appropriate.
When appropriate, our clinicians will meet afterwards as a team to ensure you have the benefit of the full expertise of Paediatric People.
By taking the time to understand the full context of your child’s needs, we can ensure your care is tailored, coordinated and effective.
Our team-care approach maximises the impact of your child’s follow-up consultations, allowing for more focused and productive appointments.
-
Understanding a child’s development can time time and sensitivity.
Our team work together to support your child and family to thrive.
We strive to meet your child’s needs promptly and compassionately. We use a strength-based approach.
Your child will typically have appointments with more than one member of our team - over time, you may meet one of our GPs, a paediatrician and our nurse. But your story travels with you, and each professional on your team adds to the comprehensive care you will receive from us.We try to ensure that your child sees the person they need - when they need. Working as a team allows us to deliver individualised care to your child.
-
Working as a team means we can be much more responsive than typical medical models.
Starting medicine? We will ensure your child has regular check ins, so you can feel supported and confident.
Wanting to monitor your child’s development? We will schedule appointments at key times to identify if your child needs more support.
Something unexpected? Since we work as a team, we can flex to provide prompt, responsive care to your child and your family.
